Best Anti-Virus, Spyware, Firewall?
In your personal opinion what is the best of each, possibly without having to install all of them as programs separated (different brands)? Many of these review sites I refuse to believe, there are many intermediaries. 1) Anti-Virus – 5 options recognized Comments a) Kaspersky b) Norton (At this point the use of instant messaging, but not totally convinced, seriously hampers per team) c) d AVG) BitDefender e) McAfee (have to buy spyware as well) 2) Spyware – 5 options identified in feedback) Windows Defender b) Spybot – Search & Destroy Ad c)-Aware by Lavasoft d) McAfee (who buy anti-virus as well) e) Navarre Webroot Spysweeper 3) Firewall – 5 options identified in feedback) ZoneAlarm / Pro b) Norton c) Windows, Built in D) Online Armor e) Comodo Im buying a new laptop soon so I wanted the best protection for it, thanks for the answers advance.
Best anti virus on their list is Kaspersky, the greatest protection for your computer for free: Comodo Firewall Pro and Avast Anti-Virus 4.8 Home Edition * http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Edition/3000-2239_4-10019223 . html? pop.software & tag = cdlPid = 10852750 http://www.download.com/Comodo-Firewall-Pro/3000-10435_4-10460704.html?tag=lst-1&cdlPid=10849947 * Install Avast then Comodo as Comodo can sometimes interfere with the installation of avast!, Strongly recommend changing the default skin for the Vista style skin available on the website of avast!. I recently removed my firewall McAfee and installed Comodo Pro, its the best firewall I've used and comes on top leaktests (see below), if after installing Comodo you get too many warnings turn defense + settings to clean equipment or not, its not has nothing to do with that part of Comodo firewall simply monitors system changes. http://www.matousec.com/projects/firewall-challenge/results.php Would also recommend that you use a secure browser such as Mozilla Firefox, and download additional anti-spyware is my favorite Ad-aware 2008. http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/ Install the McAfee SiteAdvisor add-on – when looking for something with Yahoo, Google or MSN, site advisor displays either a green tick (safe), yellow exclamation mark (use with care) or a red cross (dangerous site) next to each result. http://www.siteadvisor.com/ (I recommend you try before you try Avast AntiVir as some people recommended Avira I took it off AntiVir Avast and installed AntiVir but I could not get the update, the forums are full of people having the same problem)
BitDefender Total Security 2009 for 14307 days – 2047
