True or False – Spyware cookies slow down your PC?
I wonder because I was told to stop sign Spyware cookies have no impact on how my machine runs. However, I know that when my PC slows to a crawl and run software enter my stop, I will find multiple cookies spyware. Once you delete cookies, my browsing speed and PC speed increases overall dramtically. Is this just a coincidence, because it is awefully consistent. Thanks in advance for any light on this.
Cookies do not slow down your computer. Spyware can. Cookies are files txt. I suppose if there were a few billion of them can slow down the system some. Most cookies are 5kb in size. It would take a lot of them to slow your PC down. Ok here is a Senario that can make the cookies seem to remove them makes a difference. Let's say you only have 100 MB of free space on your hard drive. Each cookie eat away at your memory total virtual, which would be so low that you have problems with your computer run even slower. cookies only track what sites you've visited. And only site that issues the cookie can check whether your computer already has one. Cookies are stored in ASCII format. So there is every chance that spyware might be installed with on a cookie. I'm sure anything is possible but seems unlikely to happen. It is likely that something else is causing your slowdowns. Something that is fixing stop sign along the road. Or maybe the program itself stop sign that is causing the slowness. Admitting that is unlikely. It can only stop sign also being done to speed up your computer every time it runs. Say maybe a registry scan and defragment, or an optimization routine are unaware. I can not say because I've never used stop sign or anyone who has ever known.
